Social Saver Settings Explained
You can change how Social Saver works to better suit your needs. Click the "Settings" icon (⚙️ gear) in the left sidebar to open the settings window.
Settings are grouped into different tabs:
Downloads Settings
Download Locations
Set the default folders on your computer where files will be saved:
- Video Folder: For downloaded videos (and combined files).
- Audio Folder: For audio-only files.
- Image Folder: For saved thumbnails.
Click "Browse" next to each to choose a folder.
Default File Formats
Choose the standard file type (extension) the app uses if you don't pick one specifically:
- Video Format: e.g.,
.mp4(recommended),.mkv - Audio Format: e.g.,
.mp3,.m4a,.opus - Image Format: e.g.,
.jpg(smaller),.png(higher quality)
Performance
- Max Concurrent Downloads: How many files download at the same time. Lower this (e.g., to 1 or 2) if downloads fail or your computer slows down.
- Cooldown Between Jobs (seconds): A small pause between starting downloads in a playlist. Helps prevent website errors. 0-2 seconds is usually good.
Remember to click the "Save Settings" button at the bottom after you make changes!
